Chainlink Data Feeds (SDF) and Data Streams have gone live on the Stellar mainnet, providing verifiable market data for DeFi applications and tokenized assets, according to an announcement by the Stellar Development Foundation on Oct. 14.

The integration comes as Stellar reported that its network supports over $4 billion in tokenized real-world assets. SDF stated that several ecosystem applications are adopting Chainlink’s infrastructure, though it has not disclosed project names or usage metrics.

Chainlink Rolls Out Two Data Services on Stellar

Chainlink enabled support for Data Feeds on Stellar on Sept. 29, about two weeks before SDF’s broader announcement. Technical documentation confirms the product is available on both mainnet (Pubnet) and testnet.

Data Feeds deliver reference prices on-chain for smart contracts to use in functions such as collateral valuation. According to Chainlink, Stellar feeds use a shared proxy contract rather than an individual contract for each price source.

Data Streams utilizes a pull-based model for applications requiring more frequent data updates. Reports are retrieved when transactions occur and can be verified on-chain within the same transaction. According to Chainlink documentation, the product supports sub-second latency data for markets such as perpetual futures and options.

This deployment does not yet include the Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP). SDF previously announced plans to bring Data Feeds, Data Streams, and this cross-chain interoperability protocol to Stellar via the Chainlink Scale program, but has not provided a timeline for when CCIP will go live.

Chainlink Data Targets Lending and Derivatives on Stellar

SDF positions the integration as a way to expand the utility of tokenized assets on Stellar. Products such as bonds and money market funds require external price sources to be valued when used in lending or on-chain trading.

Chainlink Data Feeds can be used to calculate collateral value, loan-to-value ratios, liquidation thresholds, and stablecoin reference rates. Data Streams targets markets requiring lower-latency data, including perpetual futures and prediction markets.

“Tokenization is only the beginning,” said Raja Chakravorti, Business Director at SDF. According to Chakravorti, on-chain assets require additional valuation, execution, and movement infrastructure before they can be more widely utilized in financial products.

Having access to price feeds does not mean an asset will automatically be accepted as collateral. Issuers retain control over transfer conditions, while individual protocols decide which assets to support and their accompanying risk management limits.

Stellar Reports $4.25B in Tokenized Assets

The value of RWAs on Stellar reached approximately $4.25 billion on Oct. 15, according to the network’s Dune dashboard. Data previously published by Stellar recorded 67 products from 10 regulated issuers, including money market funds, government bonds, credit, and tokenized commodities.

Growth was concentrated in the first half of 2026. From $868.8 million at the end of 2025, the RWA value on Stellar crossed $1 billion in January, $2 billion in April, and $3 billion in June. The figure reached $3.996 billion on Aug. 29 before rising to $4.25 billion by mid-October.

Assets issued by Spiko total approximately $1.7 billion on Stellar. BENJI, the token representing shares in the Franklin OnChain U.S. Government Money Fund, reached about $605 million on Oct. 6. Ondo Finance‘s USDY has over $500 million issued on the network. Oct. 15 data shows Stellar has approximately $2.87 billion in RWA Active AUM, while DeFi TVL stands at $238.7 million.

Adoption Is the Next Test

SDF stated that ecosystem applications are adopting Chainlink, but the announcement did not name protocols or confirm which integrations have gone live.

Chainlink and SDF have also not disclosed the number of feeds currently in use, the value of assets being priced, oracle request volumes, or related TVL associated with the deployment. Neither party has indicated when the first applications or usage metrics will be published.

Data Feeds and Data Streams are now live on Stellar mainnet, though the extent of their usage in lending, derivatives, and RWA markets remains to be quantified.
